ASIA PACIFIC RED CROSS AND RED CRESCENT MOVEMENT
CIVIL-MILITARY RELATIONS PILOT TRAINING COURSE
26 – 30 March 2018, Kuala Lumpur
/ about
The Asia Pacific Movement Civil-Military Relations Pilot Training Course hosted jointly by IFRC and ICRC!
The increasing prevalence of military involvement in disaster and crisis response in the region has made civil-military relations (CMR) an important issue of common interest for National Societies, the IFRC, and the ICRC. National Societies are often at the forefront of civil-military interaction with their domestic militaries, and the IFRC and ICRC have a range of relationships with militaries in the region.
The course is designed to support participants to develop and maintain appropriate CMR with militaries operating in their environment, both for preparedness/, and which will be used in the course.planning, and for disaster response.
